WinSQL is a database client and management application that connects to any database through ODBC. It has an interface that allows users to run queries, create tables, browse data, edit, insert records and more. It can talk to any database whether its Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MS SQL Server, Informix, etc.
This version has a multi-tabbed interface which allows users to manage multiple queries and switch between the results. WinSQL also offers syntax highlighting for SQL scripts and display query results as a grid or a text box.
In addition it can export the results to an HTML based template using a wizard. Other wizards offer Updating, Inserting and New table creation. It also offers features like database specific plug-ins, data export, catalog printing, specific database connections (alternative to ODBC), and more.
This Version adds a text export/import wizard for results. There is a history filter, and file extension manager for setting up those added plugins. Also new is the ability to compare schema differences between two databases. Finally, the developers have made easier the creation of E/R diagrams and view relationships among tables with just a mouse click.
